Abstract

Dr. Tabsum Kashmiri is a reliable reference in Urdu research. In order to retrieve the facts, he rejected traditionalism and used other sciences and applied modern research principles. Principles of Literary Research was the first book in Pakistan which was written in the light of the principles of modern western research. Tabsum Kashmiri, disagreeing with the eminent researchers of his time, emphasized the implementation of new research principles. Along with this, giving special attention to reference writing, its rules and regulations have been clarified so that the new researchers can be awakened to the correct research consciousness.Apart from this, Tabassum Kashmiri does not limit himself to repeating the concepts and ideas of the senior researchers, but wherever necessary, he disagrees with their ancient ideas with the light of arguments and proofs and also derives his own ideas or concepts.
