Effects of Punjabi Language on Urdu National songs

Abstract

In the early years of the pakistan movement and songs,the language that had the greatest impact on the national songs in Pakistani languages is the Punjabi language.After the formation of pakistan,the combination of changing values and new traditions,the face of national songs come out in a new form.National songs have features like reading,reciting and singing,because the way they arde written is such that they have to be sung too.This feature as further illuminated by the influence of Punjabi language.During the September war,once again the influence of Punjabi language was greater then other languages of pakistan on the national songs,because this attack was made on Lahore.Therefor,unlike other provinces,Punjab province was directly affected.Many national songs were written in Punjabi language with new colors and tunes. The impact of Punjabi language on national songs not only broadened their rich but also boosted national unity.
