Abstract

Dr. Baig Ehsas was born on 10th August 1948 in Telangana, a suburb of Hyderabad, India. Dr. Baig Ehsas is a well-known Urdu fiction writer and critic. He was a professor of Urdu and chairman of the Urdu department at Usmania University. He was a two-time member of Sahitya Academy New Delhi and he was also the editor of the monthly "Subras".  He was also very fond of media.  He made his mark in Urdu literature as a fiction writer.  Three of his fiction collections "Hanzal", "Khusha-e- Gandam" and "Dakhma" have been published.  Dr Baig Ehsas wrote his PhD thesis on "Krishna Chandra Art and Personality".  Dr. Baig Ehsas is one of the popular fiction writers, researchers, critics, journalists and teachers of Diyar-e-Dakkan.  He has rendered countless services in both academic and literary fields.  He produced a large generation of students of Urdu in Usmania University Hyderabad and University of Hyderabad. He Organized seminars at national and  international level. He wrote fiction in modern dikshan in the last three or four decades.
